OBSTACLES






Obstacles are the challenges, the problems that occur in your life when you are on your way to achieve something. These obstacles might distract you, or make you feel low on energy, or maybe just try to change your mind about your goals. Obstacles these days are external distractions which tend to take you one step away from your desired goal.

Imagine having a lot of pending work to do, or maybe a lot of tasks on your to-do list, and instead of completing them, you are just lying on your bed watching netflix all the time. Imagine having a hectic and stressful day, and you get into a huge fight with your friend, that would distract your mind from what you want to do, you actually will no longer be able to focus on whatever you’re doing, but all you will have on your mind is millions of thoughts running here and there, causing lots of confusion in you head. These thoughts are the obstacles.

Obstacles these days have increased a lot. The distractions are majorly caused by electronic gadgets, especially mobile phones and social media platforms like instagram and snapchat. These are the trending addictions in today’s generation, majority of which constitutes the teenagers and adolescents. Other addictions like the consumption of substances– weed, alcohol, etc, are deadly, they might seem stress relieving, but they tend to cause more damage than repair to your body. It's just like painkillers, whenever you have some sort of pain, you just take pills to decrease the pain and feel relieved, but what you do not understand is that painkillers do not cure the problem, instead, they just numb the pain, but the problem still exists, it's just you, who does not feel it anymore.

Unhealthy company, toxic friends and relationships can be a huge factor affecting your mental health and triggering your work a lot. Being with the right people makes everything right, and we will be discussing all this in the topics that follow. Family or peer pressure is also something that a lot of people deal with, creating a huge barrier for them to work easily. People also deal with financial issues, which again, triggers their mental health.

Again, some things tend to take your focus away, and usually, you get attracted to such things more easily than anything else. These obstacles might seem fun at that very moment, but they are life-destructive in all the possible ways.

How to fight obstacles?

Obstacles can have two sides, the positive one, and the negative one, it just depends on you and how you interpret them.
Consider an example, you read an article and you do not understand some words, these words are the obstacles for you. Now there are two ways to fight these obstacles; either you can skip the words and just complete reading the article, or, you can find out the meaning of each difficult word, apply it in the article making sense out of it, which will increase your vocabulary, and you will learn a lot more than just about the article itself. It is just about how you would read it, where the first way would be easier but you would not take a lot from the article, you will just read it without getting to know the actual depth and concept of that piece of writing.  

You should always learn from the challenges you face, you should never run away from what you are afraid of, and always be confident enough to face anything and everything that comes in your way of achieving your goal. You must overcome these challenges in order to keep going. You should never give up, and have one strong reason to keep going.

Always consider obstacles as opportunities to grow, do not see them as barriers, but interpret them as the learning lessons of your journey because obstacles never make you weak, they always tend to make you stronger and more experienced.

Obstacles always carry something to learn from. Everyone makes mistakes, but the one who actually corrects those mistakes is the one who actually wins the race.
